Harmonization of star alliance rules?
 
I need to buy a ticket on SWISS in W for November. CO rules give that 50% miles, no elite bonus. UA gives 100% miles, not sure about elite bonus. I'm elite through CO. Any idea what might happen, and if anything will have changed by the time I fly?

This is not a problem.
Status match to UA(create MP account if you need to).
Use your MP # for the Swiss flight, get UA credit at 100%, which will be merged.

Yes, do as gregsachs suggested.

No bonus RDM's for flying Swiss. You will get the regular EQM's, RDMs.
