First time transit through EWR
We will be arriving iat EWR on a UX flight in the A1 pier of terminal A and departing out of Terminal C.
I was reading the master FAQ thread on this transfer ... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/7838527-post37.html

Where? The shuttle is located between gates A27 & A28 and connects at gate C71. You will need your boarding pass for your onward connection to board the shuttle. The bus service is not wheelchair accessible and the metal stairs to the bus can be quite slippery when wet. Continental recommends disabled customers to take the AirTrain between terminals. The bus also now stops at the A1 pier to provide air-side connectivity to UA/AC passengers and to the one gate in A1 that CO operates from. Thanks |

The CO website generally concerns itself only with CO-CO connections, and since there are no CO departures from A1, it's not listed on the CO website, but I can say from experience that yes, you CAN catch the A-C transfer bus from the A1 pier.
Thanks!! |
The 'gate' for the bus isn't in the radial pier itself, but in the corridor connecting the pier to the main terminal. Follow the signs toward the exit and head up the ramp back toward security/RCC - there'll be a big banner and a CO agent at the 'gate'.
