PPlat vs. GS

Has anyone been able to compare being a PPlat member vs. a Global Services member by either having both or having one and a coworker having another?

Anyone who holds either status holds both now thanks to the account linking. And it is a moot point since PPlat is going away.

From reading posts from both on each forum, I think you'll find GS' to be more highly satisfied generally, for a variety of reasons (upgrade %, call line assistance, etc.)

I asked about this in UA forum.

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...at-expect.html

In the reply, they gave me 2 other threads in the UA forum that details the beenfits. Nothing earth shattering other than great service and recovery, and apparantly comp hotels even for WX delays, better OP-up chances and recognition etc.

As opposed to CO, who apparantly hasn't told a single soul within their organization what PresPlat is, seems ALL UA folks are keenly aware of their GS's.

GS is very powerful. PPlat -- well one UA GA recently called one "pee pee".

Hotels in WX delays are complimentary for 1Ks too. Ending that would be a change I hate.

Because when you spend $50K+ on an airline every year, you expect little things like the actual highest UG priority, your call center to be open, great service during IRROPS, etc. :D

Oh that can't be the only reason.

We have hundreds of $3000 platinums around here that expect all of that and THEN some! :D
