Yes, you are right. Somehow, I missed the # key I need to press first to get into the application status menu. Thanks for the information.

We at continental have been told that continental chase card members will no longer get a free bag starting April 1, 2011 even with this new offer. Keep that in mind when signing up. The bag waiver will only be good for a couple more months

Is this offer available online, does the offer give any web address for applying online?
Thanks.

I recently applied for the Pres Plus card and didn't get instant approval either - which is weird as my credit is stellar.
But, a couple days later I got an email saying I was approved, so I wouldn't sweat it - just may be that they don't do much instant approval.

Actually, the free bag benefit only goes away for Chase debit card holders (see here under "Travel Benefits"). With a credit card (OnePass Plus or Presidential Plus) you're still good to go.

Does the free checked bag with the credit card apply if you are on an award ticket? The offer says you must pay for the ticket with the card. If you pay the $10 or whatever in taxes, does that count as paying for the ticket with your card and give you a free checked bag?

Has anyone noticed an expiration date on the 50,000 mile OPP offer?
