That is, would a one-way earn 7415 base and EQM miles, 7415 RDM through the promotion, and up to 7415 RDM based on elite status?
Earning double elite miles (for a total of up to 30k RDM for a one-way flight) would be nice...
You'll get the 7415 bonus RDMs for the promo but not additional bonus RDMs on top of your elite level RDMs. And don't forget the 25% bonus if you have a PPlus card.

IAH-LOS is going to start w a 772. A 762 won't be sufficient for baggage and cargo weight reasons.
IAH-AKL can't do a profitability 772. Ran a flight plan IAH-SYD, and could carry 55 pax.

IAH-AKL will be just fine as a 1-stop via LAX or HNL.

Although I'd love to do this flight on the 787, I'm doubtful they'll have them by the time the double miles promo expires. I just hope whatever plane they do use has the flat bed seats cuz it would suck to have to be on the old seats for this flight.

My guess is that they'll throw a 744 on it or push the flight on a 777 through LAX for the time being.

Delayed until 2012 due to the delay of the 787.

IAH - LOS will continue as planned with a 777 initially.
