Upgrade and FF# problems with US ticket on UA Metal
I have a trip coming up next week. Outbound is on US and return is on UA. It is all on a US ticket. I call up US and add my Onepass number, no problem. I then called up the elite line and got transfered to the UA elite line (nice service BTW). I found out that:
1) UA did not have my Onepass number in their record. Once the agent entered it she was able to get me in E+ :) Lesson here is that you can't trust US entering the number in their system. 2) Since this is a US ticket, I am not eligible to be considered for an upgrade until the day of flight as the UA system will not process me (so I was told by the UA rep). Lesson here is not to book UA flights on a US ticket (or was the rep wrong). |
The rep was correct. for the UDU you have to be on UA metal and on either a UA/CO ticket or booked onto the UA/CO flight number.

Doesn't matter. Code/metal does, not booking channel.
