NYC to HYD to MIA
What's the best way to search award tickets to HYD leaving from NYC and ending in MIA? Looking for 12/1/10 to 1/15/11. Spent a long time on the phone with Continental reservations but they didn't provide too much help. How's Lufthansa's Biz class? O and I signed up for ANA but I can't search for partner flights...

Fine, though not the best across the pond.
http://boardingarea.com/blogs/thewan...earch-problem/ is just one of a few ways around that problem.
Also look into AwardNexus as a pretty good search engine for *A awards.
And keep in mind that you can also use EK for awards with CO miles. You can sign up for an EK account and search their site for seats. If they have the cheap awards available CO likely will too.

Yes. I second EK - JFK-DXB-HYD. This will be a nice option.
Dont bother looking at routes through BOM/DEL at the moment. (connection times are not pleasant).
You can try to come back with LH if you want to try both options.

This depends upon your tolerance for night time flying. If one were doing a standard out-and-back to NYC, then I prefer the more reasonable (to me) departure and landing times in and out of BOM/DEL on CO metal. This doesn't work for an open jaw, though, and I'd definitely prefer EK while it lasts vs. LH.

That is one of the peak periods for travel to India so wouldnt expect to see too much availability on either CO or LH.
