Your handle indicates you have experience with AA, and I'm sure they handle these types of situations reputably. Part of it, I think, comes from being top dog. AA was the biggest carrier for a while, and the last thing they want is the DOT or Fed regulating something new because of their mishandling of a situation. UA has that experience as well, and DL is learning that now. All it takes is the attention of one regulator who decides to make an issue out of something to negate the savings from a shady practice. |
