B-ups and Mileage Plus

If I book a flight on CO with my onepass #, take the B-up then change the FF# to my Premier Executive MP account will I lose my upgrade?

I'm surprised no one knows the answer to this. The elite desk was no help! I need the miles in my MP to get over the hurdle for an award flight, but I don't want to do it at risk of losing an upgrade.

A lot of people seem to do this right before the flight so they don't lose the upgrade. I even had a flight attendant suggest it to me as she was bumping me to E+, so clearly other people have been doing (and getting away) with it.

Since the topic of the OP's post is flying and being upgraded on CO metal and then changing your OnePass number to UA's MileagePlus number, exactly what are you saying?

1) CO metal does not have E+, and
2) Other threads have made it clear that CO FA's do not "upgrade" or "bump" people
