*A Partner Awards

I'm looking to redeem an award from NYC to TLV with a stop in Paris (either direction). Since the website doesn't allow me to search for that routing:
  1. Can I call up and book the routing over the phone? (CO G)
  2. Will there be an issue with stopping in Europe on the way?
  3. Will the award remain at 115K miles? (Saver)
  4. Does CO availability match that of ANA?

Thanks as this is my first partner travel booking on CO.

1. Yes
2. Shouldn't be. Technically it's supposed to be an en route stopover, so since CDG isn't exactly a hub, it could be an issue. But realistically, I think you'll be fine.
3. Should be the same price -- you're allowed a free stopover and an open jaw.
4. Yes. Plus CO also has VS as a partner, so you can use that TATL if you find space there.

Channa, is it a stopover AND open jaw? I'd love that, always thought it was either or, but not both. At least it was with ST.

Yes, it's both with CO awards. It was like that back in SkyTeam as well.

Award rules are a function of the issuing carrier, not the alliance.

That said - would a routing like this be OK:

JFK-FRA-ZRH-TLV-(dest)-MUC-CDG-(stop)-EWR

Completely legit under the CO rules. You can even connect out of CDG to somewhere else on the way back if needed to get the inventory.

CO's policies on the stopovers are actually quite liberal.
