Was hoping someone could shed a little info. Flying tomorrow from Ft Meyers to Key West on Cape Air. Two things I haven't done ever...flown into Ft Meyers nor flown on Cape Air. We have a two hour connection in RSW. Does the Cape Air flight leave out of a different terminal? When checking in online today they assigned us seats 1A and 2A on the Cessna. I assume there is only one seat on each side of the aircraft? I haven't told my gf yet she is going to be flying on a non pressurized aircraft tomorrow below 10K feet. I'm looking forward to seeing her reaction. I'll check to make sure she has klonopin in her purse before she see's the a/c lol

Thanks for the info. The graphic didn't post though. We are staying at the Waldorf Astoria Casa Marina resort. Looks like it's pretty close to everything.

You had a couple too many // in the URL and you're linking to the page, not the image directly.

Cape Air operates out of Concourse D at RSW, which is a different gate area from CO at Concourse C, but under the same roof. RSW is not a large airport, fairly new and extremely user-friendly.

The transfer will require you to clear security again at Concourse D, but I've never waited more than 15 minutes for security at RSW during the busiest days of the year. Your 2 hour layover should be more than enough time to grab a leisurely lunch or hang out for a bit. There are no lounges, but wi-fi is free and the atmosphere is quite pleasant.

Good luck with the girlfriend and the Cessna 402... I hope she isn't a nervous flyer! In my experience, Cape Air is a very professional operation, so you have nothing to worry about. As a matter of fact, I would prefer a flight on Cape Air over Gulfstream, given the choice.

Thanks SBM,
Just couldn't get it right

Oh yeah,
1 more thing fligth was full on that plane and Captain asked for a passenger to ride next to him.

One of the better flights I have ever been on take off and landing is extremely different no bouncing or banging around at all kind of lands like a butterfly and doesn't even brake just coast over to the taxi area.

I often fly BOS-PVC on Cape Air and I LOVE sitting next to the captain. Incredible view.

Good info all, thank you. Wow, I would love to get the opp to sit next to the captain. I think the only way my gf would allow that is if Peyton Manning was sitting next to her :D

Have fun in Key West. My GF and I are doing the same thing in a few weeks. :D

Just remember to use the restroom before the flight...this is one of those rare commercial flights without a bathroom which is no big deal since it's such a short flight but I'm one of those folks that seems to have to go to the bathroom more when I'm in a situation where that's not possible...lol.

That's me... :( ...I seem to have to use the John every time when there isn't one, especially if in the islands and have been libating with libations...

Only slightly OT, but if you're looking for other opportunities to ride shotgun in little prop planes Belize is ripe with options. I got a couple rides up front there last year and it was quite enjoyable. It has the added bonus of walk-up fares being reasonable and some interesting routes available.

+1 - I ride up-front on Maya Air to Placencia and Caye Caulker and it was awesome!!!

The good news? I was able to sit next to the pilot on the flight from Ft Meyers to EYW. Unbelievable views, flying around t-storms cells.

The bad news? Halfway through the trip my gf of over 1 year decided to knock the wind out of me with the following phrase: "I'm sorry, I don't love you anymore. I have no more passion for you. We need to part ways".

It was the longest trip home in my life. Damn sad :(
