Anyone have a link to the ANA Search tool?

I can't seem to find a link to it, just people mentioning it.

Thanks!
Scott

Don't look on FT. Run a google search. The first hit is an FT discussion that has the link. Theoretically you can find it on the ANA website, but I find it incredibly difficult. Also, please note that a little while ago they switched things such that you cannot search for awards with a 0 mileage balance. not sure if that is still the case, but if so, the utility of the tool may be limited for you.

The best guide to using it IMO is that of the BD forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/bmi-d...sterclass.html.

There are many workarounds to that issue, including mine.

This (from sbm12) can help you work around the change. You can also transfer AmEx MR points to ANA.

ETA: Beaten by the source!

Are we on borrowed time here with the workaround? I've been thinking I might just credit a single flight to ANA so I have some miles in my account.

We're always on borrowed time with everything like this. You never know when the rules are going to change and you'll have to alter your behavior. My theory is that I'm never far enough away from a car, hotel or air event that could be credited there that I really need to worry about it now when solving it later will either be just as easy or so much harder that the changes I make now don't matter anyways.

I've found the easiest workaround is to just start by doing an initial search on any ANA route (if you try a non-ANA operated route it will say there is no applicable route), and when the results come up the "Use Star Alliance Member Airlines" button is no longer grayed out. Then you can search for anything you want.

But as stated above, who knows how long it will last.

I transferred 1 Starpoint to ANA and have access to *A search just like before.

Only possible if one is SPG Platinum; lesser metals have a much higher threshold.

ANA doesn't require matched names for SPG transfers ;)
