Meal or snack?

Am traveling in Y from DCA-IAH-SMF (departing DCA 1pm, connecting through IAH and landing at SMF at 8pm), and the CO website lists the DCA-IAH portion with no meal, but the IAH-SMF as a meal. As the IAH-SMF flight is over 3 hours, based on what the website says, I should expect a dinner in coach. If so, what kind of dinner will be served? (I'm hoping against hope that the turkey dogs won't be served, although I have to admit the homeless would jump at the chance to eat it.)

I also don't understand why no meal/snack would be offered on the DCA-IAH leg.

One another question - would you recommend I jump at the 15,000 miles + $50 offer for either the outbound or inbound? Would F be worth it?

Thanks!

What time does your DCA-IAH depart.

Airlines including CO have been cutting back on meals. They do not serve full dinners in Y except long International flights and maybe coast to coast.
They usually call them snacks.

For your upgrade to F, how many miles do you have with CO. F is nice
but it usually a matter of how you want to spend your miles.

Well for 15,000 Miles and $50 I'd had better got my moneys worth. I personally would not do it because it's not really a major hassle in Y.

usa18dca, true. However, I'm tempted. Anyone else has experience on F on those legs to pipe in if it's worth it or not?

CO still serves full dinners on the meal-time meals ex-IAH to the west coast cities.

Currently beef ribs or Ravioli. Both pretty bad.

Last time I flew IAH-SMF in Dec, turkey dogs were offered. Looks like they rotated the menu?

I had that turkey dog in Jan, flying EWR to SFO. I think I'll be happy for a rotation away from that.

They only serve a snack in coach. Even EWR-LAX in Y, a snack.

Im confused...is it a hot meal with two choices when it's during the dinner hours and then snack at all other times? Or has it changed to sandwich (which can always just mean the tray of random items: beef jerky/cheese/crackers/M&Ms/cranberry-nut mix)?
