Error? - Congratulations on Your New 2011 Elite Level

Just received an email from CO saying :-

'Good news — you're now a 2011 Gold Elite member. Enjoy your Gold Elite benefits through February 2012'

However, I've only got around 36K EQM's so far this year.

Is this just an error?

Cheers,
Rick

I got one when I re-qualified for Platinum however unless you had 14k flex EQMs I'm sure it's in error.

Not necessarily an error. As an EU resident, you can certainly be gold with 36,000 EQMs if all of this was acccrued on CO transatlantic travel

Yes - this has been the result of a few MAN-EWR-MAN trips this year, all on CO.

Could you explain how it's possible to get Gold with 36K points? I think I may be missing something, but I thought is was 50K?

Not that I'm complaining

Cheers,
Rick

10 transatlantic points qualifies you for gold status. So 5 return trips between MAN and EWR though a total of 33,540 EQMs would give you 10 transatlantic points and make you gold

Thanks all! I should have read the FAQ more closely.

I've got 11 Transatlantic Points, so that explains it.

I've got 2 more returns already booked. So I should hit Platinum A pleasant surprise.

Cheers,
Rick
