elite b fare cancellation fee

I tried looking up cancellation fees on the site and all they say is fees may apply. I have to book a one way flight booked for business which has about half chance of no go. Can anyone tell me what the cancellation of a b fare for an elite would be. Depending on the fee not sure if I should just book it to get the price now before goes up or wait until I'm 100 percent sure

Not all B's are created equal.

Be careful here. Not all B fares are refundable (which is fundamentally idiotic).

When you're booking your trip click the "refundable" button as you're generating your search and that will create a refundable itinerary for you. It might be B, it might not be.

Before you purchase, double-check the fare rules, which will clearly state whether the fare is refundable. And, you always have the 24 hour buyer's remorse recourse if you find out that you accidentally purchased an non-refundable refundable ticket.

No fees should apply for a refundable ticket.

I've been booking refundable B fares lately and have canceled about 2/3 of them due to my schedule. I agree with your rationale, book now and if you need it, use it, otherwise get a refund. However, as belynch said, not all B fares are refundable (depends on the routing) so check to be sure.
