UA 1K: access to exit rows for no fee?
I've heard different answers to this from four different agents today.
As a UA 1K (*Gold) -- should I be able to book/request the exit rows without paying the "extra legroom" upcharge? I'm doing EWR-OSL in about an hour and I ended up paying $89 for 21C, but the agent here at the President's club said I shouldn't have... (I told her that she needed to tell that to the agent that checked me in in RDU and made me pay the fee. ;-) Since FT is often more authoritative than the respective airlines, I figured I'd ask here... |

UA Elites will get free access sometime later this year. (and at that time CO elites will get free access to UA E+). |
While I personally think you should have gotten the seat for free (my opinion counts for nothing), Plats/Golds on CO still have to fight for E+ on UA with mixed success.
