LX EQM
Hi.
I'm flying LX from GVA to LHR Business next month. Apparently I'll get 4000 miles return. I need right now 5600 miles to bump me into Gold Elite Status with CO. Does anyone know if the 150% EQM policy applies with LX (Swiss)? I want to know because that would give me 6000 miles and bump me up to gold this year Thanks to everyone |
THe earnings page is Here:
http://www.continental.com/CMS/en-US...spx?ItemId=297 |
You get 150% EQM's for C, D, J and Z business fares.
|
Thanks everyone :D
I appreciate your help ^ |
Just another question, has anyone flyed business europe in LX?
How's the seat and service? (GVA-LHR) |

How do you get 4000 (6000 with bonus) on 470 mile flight?? (rt and 500 min is still just 1,000)
When flying coach for the route you only get 125 miles each way but when flying business you get 2000 each way. "You will receive the following miles for the trip you specified: Mileage accrual* 4.000" |

I was amazed as well, but Swiss isn't stingy with their miles.
When flying coach for the route you only get 125 miles each way but when flying business you get 2000 each way. "You will receive the following miles for the trip you specified: Mileage accrual* 4.000" But what you quote is for miles credited to Miles & More (LX's native program), the reference CO page does not say anything like that -- and specific refers to base miles. Additionally I doubt there would be a bonus on top of a bonus. |

"You will receive the following miles for the trip you specified: Mileage accrual* 4.000" If you are crediting to CO you have to use the CO rules, not the M+M rules. You will not earn 4000 EQMs for the trip and definitely not 6000. It will be 1500 at most. If you plug in your status, the operating carrier and the specific fare basis at http://tools.wanderingaramean.com/to...alculator.aspx it will give you more specific details for the route. |

That is only if crediting to M+M. And it is a reasonably generous program for paid premium cabin travel, similar to most European programs. The US-based programs are not nearly as generous in general on paid forward cabin fares. If you are crediting to CO you have to use the CO rules, not the M+M rules. You will not earn 4000 EQMs for the trip and definitely not 6000. It will be 1500 at most. I'll give a call to Swiss and ask. |

TRACKING NUMBER: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX -----Original Message----- From: Sent: 14 Jun 10 09:51:24 To: <[email protected]> Cc: Subject: SWISS Mileage Hello, My name is ARTHURG and my onepass number is #######. I have a flight with Swiss International Airlines next month in a J ticket. The ticket number is 0123456789 and the reservation number is XXXXXX. I gave Swiss my OnePass number and I asked them the following question, to which they said that I should contact Continental. According to their website's mileage calculator I would get 4000 Miles & More miles for my flight between GVA and LHR (return) in Business Class (J). I checked in Continental.com and your policy with Swiss as I understand it is that I would get 150% EQMs. Does this mean that I would get 6000 miles for this flight? If so, how long would it normally take to post? Thank you very much. ARTHURG |

You will receive 150% of the miles flown with a 500 minimum but no more than that. |

Juanita is going to be in trouble for including the "6000" in there. That simply isn't true.
You are attempting to mix the rules of two different programs and it does not work that way. You will receive 150% of the miles flown with a 500 minimum but no more than that. If you credit to M&M, you will receive 4000 miles as a base member, and 5000 miles if you are FTL,SEN,HON. FWIW, when I credited to the Air Canada Aeroplan program, I received 500+bonus for a total of 625 miles vs. 2500 to M&M. |
