My last 2500 miles posted yesterday, a little over two months after I acquired the card. Miles posted just after my third statement. This seems to have been the timing for quite a few others.
25000 miles for a $25.00 fee is a great deal!

Actually that's $25 plus $6/mo checking account fee. Still good but I'll certainly cancel at end of 6 months. $61 for 25K.

I too had to raise hell to get full mileage but on 3rd try it worked.

I have no $6 per month checking account fee.

I am not a litigious person at all. Have never sued anyone and have never been sued...but I am amazed that Chase/CO are not already facing a class action lawsuit for what they are doing with this promotion. They promise 25k miles when you signup for the checking account and debit card, and when you do what they ask for, they routinely (if not nearly always) seem to only deposit a fraction of the miles in the OP account that should have gone in. This doesn't seem like a random error that occasionally happens. This is seemingly systematic based on the incidence of the reports both here and in my personal experience.

I opened an account on June 26th. Got 10000 miles added to my OP account on July 15th and 12500 added on July 16th - still need 2500, but received the other miles less than 3 weeks after opening the account. I'm pretty happy with that :)
Also I don't have a $6 monthly fee???

Missing 10,000 Chase checking bonus?

I have smiliar problem but my version is a bit different.

I opened the Chase checking account on 10/30/2010 and applied for a Chase Continental debit card. I made 5 purchases by 11/12/2010. What's really weird is that unlike most of you who are missing only 2,500 miles. I'm missing 10,000 (Chase Checking Bonus) and 2,500 miles.

The only bonus miles I got so far is "Continental Debit Bonus", which is 12,500 miles, which was posted on 11/18/2010 to my OnePass account. Where is my other 10,000 miles from Chase? (and the 2,500 miles from continental?)

Did this happen to any of you?

onthego15 Nov 24, 2010 9:31 pm

Yes, Chase and Continental post their bonus miles at different times and in different sequences. It can take a couple months before all the miles post.

Nope. We opened our personal checking mid Sept. Both the 10K and 12.5K posted about 3 weeks after account opening at the beginning of the following month. 2500 is from CO. Ours was posted 6 weeks later after account opening.

I do believe Chase performs monthly sweep on the last day of each month and post the account opening bonuses at the beginning of the month.

Case in point, our business checking accounts were opened on 10/29/10, the 10K posted on 11/4/10. But the 12.5K for debit card usage is a no show - because we have not even gotten our card on 11/04! I fully expect the 12.5K will post 12/05 or 06 when Chase performs the monthly sweep.

However if an account is opened on the LAST day of the month, it will miss that month's sweep because the sweep would be performed by the midnight of the last day, but the account opening info may not be in the pool yet when the sweep takes place.

EDIT: Just checked, and our 12.5K on the business debit cards are posted with a date of 11/22.

I have a feeling your 10K will show up the first week of December.

Else you can check if the following applies to you?

1) Did you have a Chase checking account this year that has earned bonus such as $100 or $125 before opening this one for the CO miles?

If so, you would not get the 10K (account opening bonus).

2) If not, did you receive TWO tracking number confirmation paper when you opened your account?

If both answers to 1) and 2) are negative, then your banker may have messed up the process when opening the account. You need to call the phone number listed in Post No.1 to call and ask for investigation.

eridrin Nov 26, 2010 9:54 pm

Well, I was never given two tracking numbers. I was only given one tracking number.

I did have a Chase Checking account before I open the Continental Chase Checking. I opened my first Chase Checking account in December 2009 and received United miles for opening the account, but I closed it in October 2010 about 2 weeks before I open another Chase Checking to get the Continental bonus miles.

May be this is the reason why I didn't get the 10,000 bonus miles for opening a Chase Checking?

shadesofgrey1x Nov 27, 2010 5:08 pm

I seem to have the reverse problem:

I got

11/25/2010 Chase Debit Card Enrollment Bonus Miles 2,500
11/8/2010 Chase Checking Bonus 10,000

I am missing the 12,500. I called Chase and they said that comes from Continental. However the second receipt says the 12,500 comes from Chase and the 2,500 from Continental. Is this messed up or should I just wait? Account was opened on 10/13/2010.

JohnnyScience Dec 1, 2010 4:36 pm

Ok I signed up for both a personal and a business checking the same day around the first week of November, both with the $65 debit card that gives ms 1/1

Today I received:

10,000
10,000
12,500

But did no receive the 2nd 12,500? Which doesn't make any sense since I completed all requirements to earn all of the miles.

Who do I contact for this portion of the miles? Chase or CO?

I assume the other two deposits of 2500 each comes from CO and should be there in a couple weeks?

+1

Same problem of miles being credited to two new accounts created for me though I had provided my FF# when I applied.

My solution was to go to a Chase branch and tell them to cancel the account on account of the issue. They apparently have something like a save desk set up for when someone enters a branch asking to close an account, as the fellow who came to help me was willing to be very helpful in addressing my concerns / prevent me from closing. He called Chase central on my behalf, opened a case # for me, and tracked down where the miles were, calling me a few days later with the FF #s where the miles had been credit. Then, it was no problem for me to call CO to have the three accounts consolidated.

As for the cause of the error, apparently the IT system automatically creates a new OnePass account unless all of the information on your current OP account is exactly the same as that on the bank account you open. Use a work address for one and a home address for another? Have you moved houses or apartments? New cell phone number? Used a middle name for one and not the other? Bam - instead of crediting your OnePass account or asking you about it, they create a new OP account and credit the miles to it without notifying you. It's a terrible, terrible IT set-up.

I'm glad someone posted this number, as the main Chase people just refer me to OnePass. Thanks OP!

Just an FYI: the office is only open 9-5:30 Eastern time.

Number repost: 877-292-4273
