IAH-FRA, which side of the plane?

I’m flying IAH-FRA in August and back in December and I was wondering if I might expect any good views on approach/takeoff at FRA and which side of the plane I should choose? I’m in BF and the cabins are pretty open right now.

Also, what are the chances my 772 has the new seats in August? I’m not too worried about the Dec return flight but the flight out seems like it could go either way at this point, the seat maps have been switching around (and I know this far out those don’t indicate anything). FWIW, the girl I talked to at CO “guaranteed” my flight would have lie-flats, but I’m not sure how she can say that, as I haven’t seen anything publicly stating that IAH-FRA would be guaranteed to have lie-flats like they did with LHR flights.

If you want a good view of FRA on arrival, be on the right side. Most of the time, the approach works out well and if it doesn't and you come in the other way, there's nothing to see either way.

Don't worry about it, take the Fraport tour.

Contrary to popular opinion, the view isn't any better from a business class window than it is from coach.
Having just flown into Frankfurt, I can concur that the right side was a good view.
As far as flat beds, it's anyone's guess.
But don't be too sure about that 777 flight anyhow- it's been a 764 during winter for years, I think, as it is right now, and while it's planned to be a 777, only time will tell whether it stays that way through the off season.

It is switching back to a 764 for the winter season. As for it having been that way "for years," the route isn't that old.

It is if there is a large wing blocking your view, as there is for a large part of the economy cabin :)

I suggest sitting on a side that is closest to the aisle....that way you can have easy access to the drink cart and/or the water closet! :-:
