! When CO and UA merge, will the co.com random floating exclamation points remain
! I've been losing sleep regarding this. Please provide me your best theories on the fate of the wandering " ! ". For good measure, please also discuss random facts regarding population densities of random cities in sub-Saharan Africa (possible DL route expansions?), as well as the impact of the Chinese plane manufacturer (Comac) in the fleet of the combined CO/UA. ! Thank you |
I think the floating exclamations points are tied to the CO name, and their agreement to appear at random on CO.com would terminate in the event of a merger in which CO is not the surviving brand.
I hear from my sources that this has been central to the negotiations, but it's not a major hurdle. :D |
! Thank you for flying Continental Airlines. Your request could not be completed. Please contact united.com support for assistance !

If you don't like AA, then bite the bullett and fly Southwest like the rest of the world for business and just give in and buy your international flights ! Thank you for flying United ! United -- it's time to fly, unless you want to book your travel on our website !

As soon as UA ordered CO to do the LAX-HNL service on a pathetic 737, I knew there would be a merger and that UA was wearing the pants.

! CNBC is reporting that because what was the Sears tower (I forget the new name. Please no one tell me what it is. My brain is saturated with useless info as it is) kind of looks like a " ! " and the new HQ will be in CHI, UAL has agreed to the " ! " concession.
! Or maybe they didn't say that and I was just watching CNBC on mute because I love tight sweaters. ! viva la " ! " ! ual ! bomb |
! I'm wondering if the exclamation point is so often used by CO because they run an OpenVMS-based cluster.
! is the character used in OpenVMS to designate non-line comments. |
