Wow...really going out on a limb there, huh?
Well the uber-premium Chase card - under whichever name they keep it - will keep a RCC/PC membership. But that doesn't mean they have to end the AmEx relationship. Do you have a reason for believing they will or just because?

Whether the two cards merge or not (Both from Chase) is tbd - but clearly my CO Chase card will be rebranded as a UA Chase card - since the name CO would not be flying anymore.

Those with CO cards and no UA cards may want to think about getting the UA card as well before they start closing some of this stuff up.
I snagged the old NWA card and bonus miles real fast before DL/NW was announced and they killed the NWA card.

How is it UA branded if it is still using the CO "Presidential Plus" moniker. Unless that also survives the merger - and if MP wins I'd imagine UGS is what will survive - it would make no sense to keep around a brand name that doesn't actually exist any more.

Should UA and CO announce a merger, no one should expect any reliable, definitive answers to questions such as "What will happen to...[elite status] [qualification] [upgrades] [service/amenities] [route network]" for at least 9-12 months beyond the announcement of any merger. One consequence of an airline merger is that everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, goes into a state of utter uncertainty.

And what about non-Amex plat PC members who bring their kids in? Should they be banned?

No PC access for PriorityPass Oct 2011
I have a Priority Pass "Select" membership.
It appears CO PCs will stop taking my card effective Oct 2011
For example:
http://www.prioritypass.com/mobile/l...rport_code=IAH
My PriorityPass lounge guide reflects the same change.
Just got my new PC card (non-Amex) on renewal.
It's the first time my card's designated "Select"; I guess that means 2nd class as in grocery store-speak...

I have been getting messages for months now that starting in Oct of 2011 you will no longer be able to access PC's or transfer miles to One Pass with the Amex Plat Cards. Till Sep 30th it will be the same.

How do you obtain your Priority Club membership? Any and what annual fee? Do you have to pay per each lounge visit? I would probably suggest you to reply to my questions in this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...l#post15775334
