on a partner code share whose rules apply

next month i am on a united flight from CPH to EWR that is actually code share with a SAS flight, operated by SAS.

my booking class is S and the rules on the onepass web site for onepass elite mileage credit are different for UA and for SAS.

so, whose rules apply? i asked two different Continental agents and they gave me opposite answers. one checked with an expert and said that the SAS rule applies while another said the UA rule applies.
so, who is right?

thanks

I think with most of these things the Operating carrier's rules apply.

Yes, except for rules of mileage accrual, where the rules of the program of the accrual applies. But the underlying metal still figures into play.

The OP will earn 100% RDMs, 150% EQMs and 1.5 EQPs crediting a non-domestic Norway SK ticket to the OnePass program. No elite bonus RDMs. The full rules are here: http://www.continental.com/CMS/en-US...spx?ItemId=317

For CPH-EWR that should come out to about 3867 RDMs and 5800 EQMs according to my calculator.

To clarify one thing - was this issued by UA as an S class ticket, or have you confirmed somehow that it is an SK S fare?

On UA (like CO) S is a relatively low economy fare class. If this is the UA fare class, then I would suspect that it would map to one of the discount SK fare codes on the page that sbm12 linked to above. If this is the case, then you could only earn 25% EQM and RDM...

If you want to know in advance, you could call SK, and ask them what booking class you're in. This can then be looked up on CO.com.
