LoungeAccessEWR/Upgrade Lists
 

Hi all,

I'm new to CO and will be flying out of EWR this coming Sunday evening. How/when can I see the upgrade list for the flight I'm on?

Also, as a Platinum (newly minted!) Elite, is there a STAR Alliance lounge I can use at EWR. I don't belong to the President's Club.

If you use the Flight Status section on CO.com you will be able to see the upgrade list from 2 days out. http://pda.continental.com will show the same information and can be faster.

Are you flying internationally? If not, you won't be able to use any of the CO lounges. You need to be either a non-US airline's *Gold member, or flying internationally to access these lounges.

You can view the upgrade list on flights that are two days out. Check http://pda.continental.com and enter your flight number.

As for the lounge access, are you flying internationally?

Plats are eligible for upgrades 5 days before departure (this doesn't mean you will be upgraded 5 days out). If you haven't been upgraded, you should see your name on the upgrade standby list once you check-in.

As for lounges, all that is at EWR in terminal C is President's Clubs and RCC in terminal A. Unless you are flying international, you do not have access to these, even as a Platinum.

You can check the President's Club Meetings thread to see if someone will be at the airport at the same time and can guest you.

To be accurate, no free Presidents Club, Red Carpet Club, or US Airways Club access on domestic itineraries.

You can pay for a day pass; not sure of cost, I think about $35. Also, you can use the President's Club if you have an AMEX Platinum card.

The day pass is $45.
