Question about upgrading with miles

I booked a trip from PHX-EWR round trip in June. I did the upgrade using miles option, however its only waitlisting right now which I kinda suspected since its still awhile away. My question is, when it comes time to processing the upgrades a few days/weeks out, which has more priority in terms of being upgraded; me or a plat/gold elite? Do the milage upgrades go first, then elite upgrades or the other way around?

There are no complimentary elite upgrades on BusinessFirst-marketed flights.

The BF waitlist is cleared by status (Platinum, Gold/Silver, non-elite) then by time added to the list.

The FAQ has more details on this.

PHX-EWR is a BF market?

Flew this route in Feb

PHX - EWR is not a BF market; it is served by 737's with standard domestic F

mileage upgrades are available from R inventory; it is my understanding that mileage upgrades would clear before complimentary elite upgrades

I was waitlisted for a mileage upgrade on tix purchased about one month in advance which never cleared - sat in Y and miles were redeposited (but not without calling to request). My week was a prime week so YMMV.

Sorry..I read it as PEK-EWR. I have no idea why. Maybe time to go to sleep.

Miles are ahead of EUAs.

At least my point about the FAQ having the right answer was accurate. :o
