ATL

I know theres a thread on here about CO's high prices to ATL. What do you think the price to ATL will be in Late June. As of now its $308 pre tax. US from PHL is $190 with taxes. Would it be safe to say that CO might come down and try to compete with US and lower fare to ATL?

No.

Expecting CO to compete on an ex-EWR fare with an ex-PHL fare is a recipe for disappointment.

+1. PHL is often much cheaper in quite a few markets. Either drive down to PHL, or bite the bullet.

Then I will probably book PHL-ATL on US. Besides CO has been putting too many ERJ's on this route. CO should fly 737NG's to ATL. US is now flying an A319 down to ATL, which is more appealing than a ERJ, for 2 and a half hours.

737-800 to ATL

Throughout May and until mid June CO has a 737-800 headed to ATL. Does anyone know if they might continue it until atleast the end of the month? It currently shows as bunch of ERJ's and only 1 737-500 :( I saw ATL for like $208 once, hopefully it will be lower in late May or early June.

The 737-800 is the default equipment listed on many segments that utilize a 737. A little closer in when the schedule firms up, you'll see the actual equipment be assigned (which may still be a 737-800). Always check the PDA site two days out to see the details for your particular flight.

Diffrent days in May and early June are either 737-700's or 737-800's. EWR-ATL has been mostly 737-500 mainline for a while now. CO will probabally put more 737NG's on here due to so many 735's retiring. Right?

One would think, but many markets are getting more frequencies with RJ equipment. ATL is one of many examples.

Its kind of a shame that CO cannot compete with DL on this route. I would think since they are no longer partners with DL that CO would want to upgrade planes, and also that AirTran is off this route that CO would increase flights/planes. And ATL is the busiest airport in the world, and CO is sending tons of ERJ's! :td:
