Stopover Question

I'm planning on booking a trip to Europe and want to take advantage of the stopover and open jaw that is allowed. Is there a particular point at which I can take the stopover...is it the first international destination? Or can I take it say in NYC area before I get to Europe? Thanks in advance

You can take the stopover anywhere along the route. And that pretty much means anywhere. It doesn't have to be at a gateway on either side.

Thanks for the information. I do appreciate it!

Another question that came to mind: Is there a maximum stopover time limit? Thank you!

It's subject to the rules of the fare. Since this is a mileage fare, it should be the end of the ticket validity (1 year from date of issue).

You can only book 11 months out, so you can't book a whole year away, but you can always change it after booking as new dates open up.
