EWR-FLL with a RJ

Continental operated a roundtrip today EWR-FLL with an RJ. May have been a extra flight for the holiday weekend but I have never seen an RJ operate on this particular route.

That is very odd, sounds like it may have been run as an extra segment for passenger 'recovery' of all the rescheduled plans.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started in this big airport
Aboard a cramped RJ.

The FO was a mighty flying man,
The pilot brave and sure.
Some passengers set flight that day
For a three hour flight, a three hour flight...

Flight 4911 EWR-FLL was completely full. Flight 4912 FLL-EWR was only half full.

They usually use a 737-500 for extra section flights but they are retiring some of these
and they have pleanty of RJ;s to spare. I see alot of them parked on Saturday's.
