Mobile Boarding Pass App -- Airside Express Test

Just as a heads-up, a few of us have built an app for the Continental and American mobile boarding passes. It lets you download, store, and one-touch display the MBP. It also has flight status.

We've put into the Apple App Store as a free app: Airside Express

http://appshopper.com/travel/airside-express

If any of you would be kind enough to take a look at it, test it out, and let me know what works/what doesn't, what other features you would like, etc., that would be great. This is just an initial effort.

I also want to be sensitive to not "commercializing" the forum -- since it's free and also intended to be useful to FT'ers, I'm hoping to hear your thoughts.

Thanks much!

would be nice if you could port it to Palm Pre :D

Never mind. The reply to a now moderated post certainly doesn't make any sense but I'm sure there is something useful in there.

ETA: And I was right...it does look pretty cool. Not much use to me but it looks reasonably cool.

Way better than the Airlines mobile check-in

It is still a little rough around the edges, but this is a cool app. You need some instructions or maybe a quick demo. I didn't see the Express Check in button first time around. However, once I put my FF numbers in, the Express Check-in was super convenient.

Airside Express Update

Hi,

If any of you have tried our app for CO's mobile boarding pass and have had successes or problems, we'd sure like to hear your feedback!

Our initial thought is that we need to make it more intuitive (1. Enter FF info into "Memberships" 2. Hit "Airline" to check in and download MBP)

Thanks!

Will this be rolled out for BlackBerry Users as well?

We're going to build a BB version as soon as we can.

Any chance of a Windows Mobile one too?

official app

I'll still prefer Continental's own, official boarding passes.

No argument with your preference, obviously, but for clarity, the boarding pass displayed IS an official CO boarding pass. It's just stored in the app for quick retrieval.
