State of Security at CLE?
Flying CLE-MSY tomorrow. First flight since the incident.
How time consuming is the security theatre at CLE at present?
I have an 8:30am flight. How much extra time to give?

with all the responses, it looks like everyone is flying and you should get there extra early!
Seriously, you know CLE security usually isn't bad. There really aren't a lot of folks flying from CLE these days.

yeah, I know. I just tend to cut my early AM flights pretty close. Wanted to see if there was an "extra-ordinary" screening going on or whatnot.

flew out of cleveland on sunday around noon, and had family fly out later sunday afternoon. absolutely nothing out of the ordinary then. i was dropped off at 10:35am, and the only delay i had was from 10:45 to 11:00, waiting for the PC to start serving alcohol!

Flew into CLE on 12/26 at 7am and security looked fairly routine. Flew out yesterday at 11am and the elite line had 6 people - regular line looked like a 15 minute wait.

I flew out Sunday morning, and they were spending extra time with every passenger (especially if your photo ID has a middle initial not on your trip reservation). However, they had many TSA agents working (the most I have ever seen in CLE), so overall the wait to get to YOU was about normal.

Had no long lines on 12/28 at 2pm.
Elite C terminal security line I was a breeze, 0-2min wait.

Not sure if this is still relevant, but I cleared security at CLE ~3PM on 12/27 and didn't notice anything extraordinary. When I went through at DTW on 12/28, however, things were moving (deliberately?) slowly. I definitely got more of a sense of "something being up" at DTW than CLE. Whenever you clear, good luck and remember to smile for the body scan !
