777 Bulkhead question

I know that the bulkhead on row 16 doesn't extend to the isle on either the middle section or the side sections. Can you please inform on this. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm about to fly in 16C LHR-EWR so will try to report back early next week on my return to the UK.

dg252 - thanks for your kind offer = just spoke to an RA who seemed quite
sure that the bulkhead on the sides extend all the way to the isle
and the its the center bulkheads which dont extend to the isle.

But your confirmation would be appreciated. Have a safe trip and
thanks for your kindness.

Bulkhead

Those seats extend to the aisle. I just flew back from Hong Kong in 16A and B an C were empty.

You flew from HKG to EWR with two empty bulkhead seats? I have never seen that happen. How emnpty was the plane?

Are you sure the bulkhead in front of you extended to all the way to the isle?

BTW- Welcome to FT.

Calling sbm12 and Channa, any clue on the 777 bulkhead question?

Spoke with another RA who told me the opposite of what the last RA told me.

SeatGuru does say that it is side rows on row 16 where the bulkhead does not
extend out to the isle.

Why you ask is this such a big deal to me? I have bone cancer in one of my
legs abd I must elevate it on a 15 hour flight, thus I need the bulkhead to be able to do this.

Thanks fellow flyertalk brothers and sisters for your help in this matter.

happy travels to all

I've sat in 16 on numerous EWR to PEK flights and I am nearly certain that they extend to the aisles. And I've scored 1 empty seat in row 16, but never 2...

I really liked 16C. The bulkhead only extends as far as 16B, perhaps a little bit further, and so I had the option of extending my legs through the curtain into BF or even putting them up on the bulkhead itself.

There is enough space for the pax in 16A/B to get out without you having to move very much at all.

You get served first which is always useful.

When we arrived, I managed to stand up, open the locker, grab my coat and bag and dart up the aisle so that I was the FIRST off the plane and the first to immigration which is a definite bonus for me since I am not a US citizen and often have to queue for ages.

The seat is narrower but on a day flight I was not so bothered by this. On a night flight I like to have a window to lean on and so 16A would probably be my first choice. Tonight I am in 18A which is not too bad I guess but there will be someone reclining into me.

Hope this helps.
