Baggage Security in PCs
I'm new to PC use this year and have only been in the Terminal B PC at IAH. I noticed just past checkin, a room where several members had left their carry-ons and other personal items like coats. The room was not secured and did not have a check person. Am I correct in assuming this is a use-at-your-own-risk situation? The room was open enough that I wouldn't expect baggage to be easily gone through, but it appeared that a bag could easily be grabbed and taken. Am I missing something or am I (a prosecutor) overly suspicious about my fellow travelers (even the boat shoe wearing members of the PC - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/conti...c-members.html)?

It is just that, use at your own risk. However, they do have some small square lockers with locks. You can get a key to a specific locker at the counter.
I always leave my bags in there and have never had a problem. |
I've never had a problem leaving bags there, and wish it was required: I get tired of negotiating around people's roll aboards in the PC and their defacto use as "seat savers."

They are posted at the entrance to use at your own risk, and lockers available by speaking to an agent.

I'll leave my suiter or carry-on in there, but not my computer bag. It's not at all secure and the desk agents pay no attention who skulks in and out of there.

Sometimes I'll leave my luggage in the PClub and go to a restaurant to eat. Feels strange walking through concourse while not carrying anything. |
