UA -CO awards blocking question
 

UA is a well known serial starnet blocking offender. IF and when UA blocks CO award flights, will CO then reciprocate.

UA does not play well with others.

CO has stated that they will not participate in starnet blocking.

The whole point of UA starnet blocking was award availability to UA MP customers. I don't think it has anything to do with CO or any other *A FF members.

Do you ever search for answers before posting questions? A quick search for starnet blocking returns many relevant threads, including http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/conti...arnet+blocking that has it right in the title, as well as several others with the same information.

I think UA starnet blocks for the sole benefit of their bottom line, to hell with anyone less than a 1K status.

My point was to your "will CO reciprocate" comment. Of course UA does it for the bottom line. Trust me, even 1K you are not immune from starnet blocking.

UA blocks other partners availability to control it's expenditure in paying fellow Star Alliance partners.

UA would love other partners to use it's seats as it gets revenue from the other partners.

The only * partner that is restricts other * members from redeeming is SQ.

Ummm, 1K's get starnet blocked too.

I am sure every decision every business makes is for the bottom-line. The question is probably more how does a business account satisfaction measures to the bottom-line.
