Any Phoenix FTers interested in a Diamondbacks outing?
 

So I know they're really bad this year (29-40, third worst team in the majors) but I was thinking it might be fun if some of us could head down to a game, have a few beers/hot dogs/Cracker Jack etc. and all that good old fashioned American fun. Also, no one is going so we can probably get some cheap upper deck seats on Stubhub.

If there's good interest on this they're home this week through the weekend.

There are other PHX members out there???

Yes, the D'Backs stink this year, but a game might be fun. We are in and out of town most of the summer, but if you wish, feel free to suggest a few dates and I'll check if we are around.

Btw, I'm 47 and H is 61 (but a young 61, as in still a competitive mountain biker!)

sandnsun61, welcome to Flyertalk! Good to see there are other Phoenicians out here. I'm 23 but I would hope mature for my age. Do weekends or weekdays work better with you? They usually play at 6:40 PM weekdays, 12:40 on Sundays and 12:40, 5:00 or 6:40 on Saturdays. Let me know.

We will be there at D-Backs game tomorrow around 6:40pm but, I am not sure which the section number is that. So we have go to Will Call to pick it up the ticket for both of us. We are behind D-Backs dugout in the section P. So please come by says hello to us.

For you Jan I can wait. They're playing San Diego at 6:40 PM on Tuesday July 7th, Florida at 6:40 PM Friday the 10th, 5:10 on Saturday the 11th and 1:10 on Sunday the 12th. Do any of these sound good?

Sorry to take my sweet time getting back to the thread, CMK10. Nothing personal, it's been a heck of a week!

We might be able to do one of the games against the Marlins, either Sat Jul 11th or Sun Jul 12th. I should know in the next few days. Otherwise, we are out of town on and off until early August. We could do one of the series the week of Aug 10th. What about the others out there?

I'll be better about checking the board in the next few days ... promise!

We are going to see D-Backs game on July 10 against FL Marlins. I knows last time Florida has sweep D-Backs by last season 2008. I'm sure it will have to be improving our D-Backs players need to wins the game. I am valuable posts by D-Backs forums sometime but, I don't usually it very much. Because I didn't have enough time to posts there. I am very extremely busy where I am reading the aviation forums.

I think I'm going to have to wait until August for us to meet up for a game. Without boring you with details, my 20 year old son will be coming home for that weekend from FL. If anything changes and he is making plans for the entire weekend (or he wants to go to a game), I'll let you know. Otherwise, let's aim for the series in August.

Sorry to keep you in limbo ... we really do want to meet up and will touch base later in the month to make some definitive plans

You should really consider doing this some time when the Cubs are in town (too late for this year). Not only do Cub fans travel, as you probably know there are tons of transplanted Chicagoans living in the Phoenix Metroplex. Although this year was an exception, usually they schedule the Cubs to play there in August. :(

I'm a little late to the table, but if a group heads to a game in August, I'd be down for going. A drive up I-10 to watch a game with some FTers could be just what the doctor ordered. :)

Sorry for my silense - I dislocated my knee flyfiishing and have been offline.

Welcome back. Hope you are doing well. Maybe we will go to see D-Backs game for next weekend against FL Marlins. This is my former hometown from South Florida. This is where we live in South Florida for 24 years and it's time to be moved to Arizona back in late-2003 to be with my entire family.

I'd also be interested in a local Phoenix get together.

Please let me know if/when a date gets firmed up as I'd be happy to attend. I am now getting down to the Valley about once every two weeks or so. BTW, to all my friends in Maricopa County...it was SO cold here in Prescott last night, that I actually has to turn off the air conditioning, brrrr!

^^^ You are always welcome to meet more FTs will be there. Hope we will have to choose which select restaurant. I think we have a best local restaurant on Tatum/Shea is My Big Fat Greek Restaurant or Nick's. Let's speculations begin for which one is best restaurant in my areas.

How about Saturday August 15 against Los Angeles? It's a 1:10 PM game and there could be dinner/drinks afterwards. If not, they're also home 6:40 PM that Friday or 1:10 that Sunday.

Ohh, it will be my birthday coming up on that days. Sure absolutely. I would loves to go see D-Backs game on August 15. I will try to have a conversation with my friends from D-Backs will have to put same seat in the section O near dugout.

I talked to another FTer today who's interested in going to a game and the date we are now looking at it is:

Saturday September 19 at 5:10 PM vs. Colorado

Who else would like to go?

Note: Colorado is in the thick of a pennant race so this should be interesting.

Put me down for a later one - the knee gets operated on on the 8th - I wont be out and about on the 19th yet :(

I'm sorry about the knee Jan. Be advised, however, that there aren't too many later games. The Diamondbacks last home game is on September 27th.
