British Airways fans and LAS travelers are proud to celebrate the launch of BA non-stop service from London to Las Vegas on 25 October 2009.

Who is interested in a wonderful innaugural ride on BA to LAS? What kind of fun/trouble are you interested in? Late dinner? Nightclubs? Adult entertainment?

I'll be there and happy to co-ordinate things for the UK croud outbound on the inaugural! :D

As an update on this I am pleased to say I am now booked on the inaugural outbound in Club World.

Also G-BOAC and Pyeinthesky are also joining me.

This 'Do' is certainly taking shape!

I have re-iterated this thread over at the British Airways Executive Club forum. :)

I would have loved to be on the first one -

The bad news is I will be probably busy working around that time - unable to get away....:(

The good news is that I will be working in LAS ! so I should be able to welcome you all to LAS with a drinky or two....:)

I'm in ORD on the inaugrual day, but aiming to be in LAS the day after....

Might make it to town for this. Looking like good fares from MKE and some cheap hotels should be doable.

Anyone have suggestions for pre-flight activities? I'm arriving LHR on Saturday afternoon and returning on this flight?

Post flight, I suggest we take in either Tapas, Sushi, or Korean BBQ.

According to brits sitting next to me, mayor of las vegas, oscar goodman will be flying back with us from london. He's the happiest mayor in the world and a great guy.

None of the Brits has replied. House of Shilla or somewhere else? My internet will be spotty tomorrow, but post something in the thread and I will relay it on arrival in LAS.

For those on the flight, I will be sporting a small red FlyerTalk backpack tomorrow. I'm going to arrive LHR extra early to partake in any festivities and hang out in a lounge or two. PM me if that is on your agenda too.

Does House of Shilla work for folks at 7pm tonight?

Thinking you might appreciate an update, BA0275 is due into LAS at 8:45pm this evening. :)

So, I guess 7pm won't work? :D

Based on that, I'm assuming after customs, etc, folks won't be out of the airport til about 9:30ish.

So, maybe scratch dinner tonight?

Currently estimated at 8:41. Agree dinner's out, but I'm still up for drinks if that's an option somewhere.

Tonight would depend on the BA folks, I guess. I have no idea if folks are doing this as a straight run and turning around tonight & going back to LHR tonight or if they're flying back tomorrow evening?

We just got in. I was briefly interviewed by local tv as the 1st pax off the plane. Mayor goodman just got his bags and is being interviewed right now. For those ba folks, I'm in a black leather jacket and grey t-shirt. Ft tag is on my bag on the floor toward the back of the entry hall.

A strange thing happened to me on the way to LHR. I left my book with my olci bp on the #75 bus.

Someone found it and me on facebook and wrote a thoughtful note.


I had a lovely weekend in london and am in town this week. Perhaps we can have a make up do on tuesday night? Monday night, I have a work event but am good any other evening.
