There's an "edit an entry" link at the bottom of each Doodle. It takes you to an edit screen where you can click on a little notebook next to your username and edit your choices. It actually lets you edit anyone's responses (I suppose it operates somewhat on the wiki collaborative model), but be nice and just edit yours (unless you can honestly claim to speak for someone else!). ;)

Fair enough. Honestly should have caught that. I'm updated. :)

Well, not us ......two more Bull Moose coming your way :). Please add us (kudzu + 1) to your Confirmed list.

Flights (US) and hotel (Sheraton) booked. Early Friday to early Monday.

We're first-timers to Anchorage, and happy for a relaxing weekend of local sightseeing, good company and sampling fresh, native fare. Please don't let us get in the way of what the group wants to do in terms of venturing far from Anchorage; we would have flown some distance already to get there, and not inclined to hop on any more planes that weekend :D

Thanks, jackal for organizing this; we regret missing the Spring Break Do and now we have another opportunity. Wish we could stay longer, but there'd be a next time for Denali, etc

We didn't have "...more then five FT attendees" but now we do thanks to kudzu +1

Oh...I missed the more than part. :o Well, she's let me list DOs with just five before...

Going into semantics again... IIRC it was a fairly recent change... guess you didn't get the memo :p

So...most people (so far) seem to be favoring an excursion north of Anchorage.

North as in Talkeetna/Denali, or northeast as in the Glenn Highway/Glennallen/Wrangell-St. Elias/Valdez?

Just throwing an idea out: adventures at Kennicott Lodge (rumor has it there are some rooms available at $79pp/pd!).

Getting out there would be an adventure (we won't tell the rental car company we're going...the only option, unless we all want to pay hundreds to fly out there!).

Stuff out there's kinda 'spensive, but it's certainly an idea to entertain.

Just driving out in that area or up Thompson Pass to Valdez is extraordinary, though. Scenery beyond imagination!

I'm content with stayin' local :p

Then again... if its not too much... it'd be cool to add another flight to my flight memory :p

Besides us locals... what else do you want to do?

The 22-26th have great clam tides... so if anyone wants to go after a razor clam :D

I'm with ya on keeping costs low. (Lord knows I need to!) Driving to Valdez, Denali, or wherever isn't expensive (rental car plus gas split a bunch of ways), and we can buddy up on rooms at our destination or even rough it and go camping Alaska style ;). I'd be all for that kind of a thing!

I threw the flightseeing thing out just to see if it really excited anybody and made the number of people interested in this DO swell up to unbelievable numbers. I'm actually not sure I'd participate unless the cost were very reasonable, though if we got a group of 30 people all wanting to go, I'd go if I could negotiate a very big tour-guide discount (or free pass!) as the organizer... :D

Clams? You can keep those mucousy, snot-covered invertebrate masses of organs to yourself... :p

We also may want to stray North of the clambeds anyway... Redoubt is less then 50 miles from where I like to go...

Sorry guys - I'm afraid you're going to have to move me to the moose nuggets list. Work is infringing upon pleasure again. Next time, hopefully.

Have a great time everybody.

:( Well, we'll look forward to seeing you next year: same time, same place! :)

Sorry, all--continuing to work full time while being on a jury mired in a three-week case is not exactly conducive to maintaining and organizing a do or even keeping up on FT! (If anyone else wants to help, I'm glad to take any offers!)

I should be back in the swing of things by perhaps the end of May (assuming the trial doesn't go longer than anticipated). For now, I'll try to keep up as best I can and start making some arrangements with some of the activity providers (though it appears not many people are interested in doing any organized activities...).

Is the jury still out on this or what?

BUMP

Paging jackal, please pick up the courtesy telephone in the North Terminal...
