Probably slightly more often than you fly to Waitangi, I would imagine

Here I was thinking we were all going to be involved in some sort of historical treaty signing. Alas, it was not to be.

Interesting post count there chchkiwi; I guess there is no way you would fly a 747 between CHC-WLG or any other 2 cities in NZ for that matter.

Intercity, locals do use it, can be rather inexpensive way of getting around NZ.

I better go and read the schedule of events.

Not any more. It used to be possible when Japan flights were on 747 - some did Japan-CHC-AKL.

My journey starts in the morning when I leave home at 0930 to drive to Melbourne Airport. A quiet night tomorrow night in Sydney then off to Auckland on Thursday morning.

wandering_fred, Mrs fred and I are having dinner on Thursday night in Auckland with Kiwi Flyer then in the car on Friday morning for the drive to Napier where we should meet with everyone for the 5pm session (or earlier) on Friday.

I finally convinced QF that I did fly on Monday 30th Nov and so they have upgraded me back to Platinum so that should make lounge access etc a little easier.

Thanks to Will for organising everything it should be a lot of fun for all.

regards Bill

Hey Bill - Look forward to seeing you again along with wandering fred +1. I'll be arriving in Napier around 1:00 p.m. but will spend most of the afternoon with rellies. Will definitely catch up with you all by 5:00 p.m. ..... or bump into you before then - Napier being such a small place and all.
It should be a great weekend - 25C + rain sounds great to me

Will,

Do you have some more specific details of how to find East Pier when we get to Napier?

If we need to find you earlier than that I will just ring.

regards Bill

I look forward to catching up again. Probably no Pizza on the wharf this time though!

Head East?

Basically so long as you can get to Marine Parade (the main road along the waterfront), you're fine. Just keep following that until you feel your feet getting a bit wet.

For those of you arriving on Friday, I'll most likely be at the airport for the 10.30am arrivals and depending how things go we'll likely just hang around Napier for the day until 5pm.

As people arrive, please feel free to call/text me on 0275 999 991 to find out where we are if you want to come join us.

Look forward to seeing everyone in a couple of days!

Sitting in the Koru Club at CHC awaiting my flight to Welly. Will be spending the evening with family before taking a leisurely bus ride up to Napier tomorrow morning. Look forward to meeting up with you all tomorrow afternoon.

I'm now sitting at the house at Waimarama listening to the ocean

Dad's been doing some work here, so please forgive the viciously cut-back trees and the yet-to-be-grown lawn in some parts

Looks like we fortunately will have enough beds for everyone too, which is a plus.

Also, wireless internet is available (and works, amazingly!) - please see reception for costs which will be added to your bill at the end of your stay.

Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow (or Saturday).

ETA: It's currently sunny and 27C here. Tomorrow and Saturday are expected to have highs of 29, Sunday 27.
