A mini DO in SYD?
 

This may have already been talked about, but I would imagine that quite a lot of FTers took advantage of one of the low fares on VA and UA and will be heading to Australia in the spring. I personally have a desire to meet a few of the people with whom I've developed a friendship through here but have not yet met in person. Would it make sense to do a little meet and drink in Sydney? I plan to be there 4/16-4/19.

I guess it can be open to those who didn't pay a TransPac fare :) Actually nobody who is flying VA is paying what a TransPac fare should be!

Let's see if others chime in with dates.

I would be keen also, depending on time/dates. Maybe the Sat night 18 April would be good.

I flew transpac in Sept and Oct, and I paid heavily for it. Does that count ;)

Dinner/Drinks (or both) on Saturday 18th April sounds like a plan.

Maybe those of us in/around Sydney can suggest venues closer to the date.

If you can sked the flights to May why not pop into OzFest?
