Death in the Family
Now usually I know you FlyerTalkers don't generally like bunch of us TSOs and our agency in general.
But I have some sad news, which come to a complete shock to our entire family and many of our friends. My uncle died this morning at the age of 49, the cause of which is not yet determined but might be something heart/cardiovascular in general, at least from speculation. As such, on top of work and college, I have this to deal with... which is especially hard... since this will be really tough on his kids, my cousins, who are 11 and 13, I'm really concerned about their well-being in the long run. But in general, my uncle was a nice guy, never hated anybody, worked as a locker supervisor at a meat-packing comapny, always asked me how I was and since I started working for the TSA, how my job was. Anyways, as such, I might curtail back my posting here for a few days or so. I might. I'm not a personally who generally gets away from the computer much, but I'm not sure. Anyways, feel free to leave any condolences or prayers or anything in general. -Pat |

Pat - stay strong and pull through. It is a big community here and we respect everyone.

It should be a comfort knowing that you can express these feelings to a group of friends in an environment like this. It is often helpful to just talk or type your feelings at a time like this knowing that there are people who care and can help guide you through this most difficult period.
My thoughts are with you and the rest of your uncle's friends and family... |
My father died very suddenly when I was a teen ager. Encourage them to remember the good times they had together. It probably won't be easy at first, but they will get along. Hold on to those good thoughts for the rest of their lives.
Best wishes to everybody. |
I’m very sorry to hear that! 49 is way too young to leave behind a family.

-Pat My condolences. I went through the same thing in March. My uncle (44) died unexpectedly, though he had a history of liver issues, no one was expecting it to shutdown one day. He was the model of health otherwise, a successful Chiropractor, with 4 children 10-18. I don't know how old you are (I am 28), but one of the most important things has been making sure my cousins are OK. They are taking it extremely hard. I've tried to reach out to them to hang out, or do random things without trying to make it seem so forced. Its really tough... My condolences. |
Pat,

My condolences to your and yours......
