I'm currently in flight PDX-BOS and this is my 4th post 2001 9/11 flight. In fact my first flight as an adult was on 9/11/2002 and i went from PDX to JFK. I also went to DC on that trip

Flew from DCA to ORD-SEA. Lot of police presence in DC. For the first time I saw machine gun toting police in a team of six in the terminal. Tried to identify who the sky marshall was on the flight to ORD, but it could have been several people as it was a 757 and there are six rows of first class. No unusual announcements on either flight, but channel 9 was off

I flew DAL-MCI. We landed at MCI, Terminal B, at about 9:45AM.
Unknown to me at the time, some guy at MCI had created a ruckus at the TSA checkpoint at about 9:30AM. Enough of a ruckus that they cleared the whole terminal. For arrivals, there was no impact...I deplaned, walked right out of the terminal and drove home.
Today I heard that they canceled a bunch of flights and didn't have the whole terminal reopened until 3PM. Apparently they took this guy's carryon bag out to a remote corner of the airfield and took a water cannon to it.
Anyway, I sat in 12F. The nearby FA mentioned that her routes were booked full all day, presumably including the one disrupted by the guy at MCI.
