Urgent Help Needed!

Just found out my grandmother is dying, may not make it through the next 24 hours.

I've got to get my Dad and his sister out to ACV ASAP.

I know that there is one flight to/from SFO daily, but I don't know if there are any others to other airports.

Is anyone here familiar with the Redwood area and can help me out with this?

Any help offered would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Redding, which is about a 2.5 hour drive away, might offer better options. The airport web site shows both Horizon and United Express flights.

Arcata also has United and Horizon service.

Crescent City, 90 mins away, has United Express service.

Santa Rosa, about 4 hours away, with Horizon service, and then Medford, Oregon, which is served by 4 cariiers, which is 3.5 hours away, would also be close to drive from.

From a quick look at Orbitz.com I could only find UA flying non-stop, but Delta, Alaska, and UA have one-stop itineraries and Delta, Alaska, UA, Northwest, American, and US all offer two-stops itineraries SFO-ACV.

Thank you both for your quick replies. I'm looking into those now.

Getting my dad to ACV isn't to difficult, we're in WAS, but my aunt is at SDF and it's been alittle more challenging finding flights for her.

I looked at the NW site (she has a voucher from them) but they are saying that neither NW nor any of their partners fly from SDF to ACV, which doesn't make much sense to me since she can fly from SDF to SFO and SFO to ACV.

Oh, well. I'm still searching.

Some of the carriers might have codeshares versus operating the route themselves. Doesn't NW have a partnership with Alaska which operates Horizon (their website, if it's up to date, says they do)? Maybe they just don't offer a fare on that route. Hopefully a NW flyer will pop in and offer something. AA doesn't fly there, so it's definitely a codeshare with Horizon in their case.

Thank you! Thank you!

Thank you all for your help. I was able to get my aunt out last night and Mom and Dad are leaving tomorrow morning. Thankfully, Grandma is holding steady for the time being, but we don't expect that to last much longer. (DNR in place and all that)

Thank you again for your quick responses. The information you provided was extremely helpful.
