Well I missed all of you! Even you iluv2fly, even though you weren't there.

We spent our evening being appalled at the obscene amounts of money people were bidding for rather ordinary stuff at an auction. FlyerTalk training makes it really tough to understand that "Spend as much as you possibly can" mentality. :rolleyes:

That was actually one of the topics we covered at dinner, among many others ( I was expecting you to just pop in with dessert for all). I see you're in Hong Kong the weekend of the Hobart Do. You can always fly down for a visit.

Thanks to ldsant for setting this up, and for all the FTers that showed up. Had a wonderful weekend, and it was nice to see the sun all day today. I'm out at SEATAC now in my $43 priceline hotel getting ready for a morning flight home.

It was the perfect evening: Great food, great company, and well-behaved attendees:) It was wonderful meeting Tom911, seeing Missy with her handsome and elegant +1, meeting Lalala (finally), FlyinHawaiian is always my favorite designated driver...Ldsant was the most perfect and gracious host^. She got everything just right; from the restaurant, to the server and her recommendations, which included something called a "Mangopolitan". Well worth being "sleepless in Seattle." Would have slept in Seattle, except that the Marriott Courtyard has a screaming train running nearby during the night. Otherwise, a perfect evening. Would do it again in a heartbeat. (especially if ldsant is involved). What a gracious, lovely and welcoming host to this first time Seattle visitor.

The dinner was gracious, lovely, and absolutely wonderful due to the amazing company. Ya'll just made it one of my all-time favorite dinners - thank you!

FlyinHawaiian and Obscure2K I am still taken aback that you both flew up here for <10 hours! You two epitomize the best of FlyerTalk folks - generous, fun, interesting, and kind.

Lala - the fact that you made yourself available in between flights (the Dunkin Donut run has to be one of the best MRs ever!) was wonderful and I was happy to meet you "again".

Missy +1 - he's a "keeper!" ^ You look wonderful and even though we live in the same city it's always great catching up with you!

Tom911 - as always "Mr. I-did-drink-the-KoolAAid" it was fun! I'm always willing to drive you and obscure2K anywhere via freeways! :D

Owlchick - hope you're feeling better today! And iluv2fly - you definitely were one of the topics of conversation last night. . .:p
