Folks, post three now has a tentative schedule for the weekend, and hopefully we'll have registration officially open in about a week or so. If anyone would care to host any other activities, feel free to PM Wireless or moi and we'd be grateful!

Welcome back from Paris, Lucky.

Mr kalkat and I will be very happy to be at your 2nd Annual SFO Mega DO.

We'll be offering the usual incentive again this year to early confirmed registrants to the DO, involving a ferry, a paddleboat, a genuine California redwood deck and a BBQ.

Last year was so much fun!

What an amazingly generous offer! This will without a doubt be an amazing incentive for people to register, as it was beyond amazing last year!^

Lucky, I'd like to be added to the [strong] maybe list.

But, before I commit (officially); I need to inquire about a few things, with regard to this DO :

(a) Will I have access to an IC RA's mini-bar (specifically their Champagne and Cognac) at the Intercontinental San Francisco?

(b) Do I have to shave to attend this DO?

(c) Will much culture be involved, during this weekend; as I try to avoid any cultural situations. :p

Thanks!
--- Michael

Muahaha!:D You sound very well suited to join the uncultured masses, Michael.:p

Just booked my ticket to London on for the same weekend for $339. :) Sorry lucky and wireless, but London wins out over this one. Have a great time!

I just saw this post and found I can get a reasonable flight, so I plan to attend. :D

(Now if I could only find a reasonable Marriott.......)

Having gotten a taste of "dos" in Paris, sign me up ... I'm staying at the InterContinental of course, and have to jockey with the many other super-duper extra-special Royal Ambassador VIPs for the suite upgrades, but I'm sure we'll collectively throw a heckuva minibar party!

Yeah! Those IC minibars are quite the deal! I'm still working my way thru the leftovers from TPA....

Accomodations and Transport

I live in SF and have a great limo driver. His rates are only about $5 higher than a cab and that is it but much safer and more comfortable. PM me if you want his contact information.

My neighbor rents out short-term houses all over the city. For those that are paying for accomodations out of pocket, I would consider his properties over a hotel anyday. Most have parking plus they are all wonderful. I always have my out of town guests stay at one of his places. Perhaps a group could go in together and rent a big one. PM me and I can let him know I referred you so you get a good deal or for more details or go to his website. His name is Jan.

Thanks for the ideas, nmmercer!

I just noticed that the rate at the IC SF has gone up about $100 since last time I checked... Guess we booked the place solid.;)
