New York City (post Reality Tour) WineDo. June 22 Sunday eve

After a conversation on this thread... http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=790661

... it was finally decided to do a WineDo in New York City, the day after the 2008 Brooklyn Reality Tour.

Date: June 22 Sunday.
Time: 6:00pm
The Place - see below. Details in the link above.

While the linked thread may look to some that we're bragging about what we own , the WineDo is open to everyone. The only qualification is that you have to bring a bottle of (drinkable) wine.

dhammer53 and UCBeau will decide what's drinkable.

Can you join us?

So Far:

Table 1

dhammer53 +1. Another wine geek.
jswong
UCBeau +1
sc flier and Mrs. sc flier

Table 2

violist
StockmanJr +1
abraxis
cordellis
So far: 13.

Dinner at:

Apologies from Oz...

BB & Mrs BB will likely reschedule our trip to September, for an October arrival in your town.

I had a Rosemount Mountain Blue sitting in the cellar for such an occasion - hopefully this top-of-range wine will travel well, should we be able to catch up, then. [Tasting note .pdf]

Mrs. SC Flier and I are planning to raise our glasses at this DO! Not sure what wine we'll bring yet. Might depend on the weather and the final restaurant decision, but I promise not to bring a wine from my upcoming trip to Jamaica.

I'll be hanging around (probably recovering) until my p.s flight (UA15 JFK-SFO 15:35). I could bring some additional bottles for the monday morning

That could be a great way to recover from the previous night's festivities. ^

Definitely Maybe

This alum of the 6th Annual BRT would love to attend, however, I need to ask my mommy if I am allowed to join you in NYC that weekend.

It's her birthday on the 21st and my birthday is a few days before that so I am sure there will be some celebrating, but when it will get done, I am not so sure.

In the meantime, am in the mood for a little Oasis. Any suggestions on a wine pairing?

I didn't know Oasis was still together

I'd suggest Champagne, to go with the song
