There's always Mister Tiki Mai Tai Lounge in the Gaslamp, 801 Fifth Ave. Haven't been there, but heard it's great fun. Or the Dakota Grill at 901 Fifth. Sorry I can't make this date, but agree with LLM that Mr.A's is not where you want to be. If you guys can get over to Little Italy you'll probably find better food and more fun than the Gaslamp. There is another place I haven't been, Puerto La Boca (Argentinian) 2060 India St. 619-234-4900- a fairly new Argentinian steak place.

Or more downtown Rainwater's or Dobson's if you really want beef and want to dress to get it.
