Most Number Of Flyertalkers On One Flight?
What is the most flyertalkers on one flight.
On the QF Forum of flyertalk we are organising the 6th Annual FT AGM, BNE QP, Saturday 23 Feb 2008 The event takes place in Brisbane and some Sydney and some Brisbane residents(its all about the miles right) are planning on flying up on Qantas flight QF175, its an international flight between 2 domestic airports. Currently we have 17 on the same flight. Has there ever been more flyertalkers on 1 flight. |
Coast to Coast Mega Do
There were 17 of us on the Coast to Coast Mega Do In Flight Do just last month:
Pat89339 Chchkiwi N334AA Goalie Newself JeepGuy UCBeau sandyweb aku FlyinHawaiian Lucky9876coins Alliance Mrs. Alliance Daringdoo Benny8444 Djerikd DWP We also met up with other FTers in the Los Angeles and Washington DC areas who joined in the land based events. You can read about it here: Coast-to-Coast Mega Do It was an incredible amount of fun and a great way to spend 4 days. We had a great group of FAs on board who put up with the lot of us and had an enjoyable time as well. The laboring oars and genius behind the event were lucky9876coins and Alliance |
On the way to the Malta DO last weekend, there were over 20 FTers on BA6938 (LGW-MLA) - the entire Club Europe cabin (4 rows with 5 seats each) was all FTers, plus a few unhappy souls in Economy. I can't remember the exact total though.
|
It might have been the party plane from ORD to LHR to the London Do in 2003. I couldn't say how many were on the flight but I know there were many flyertalkers.

23 on the PIP Express, November 4, 1999. UA Flight 57; LAX-HNL.
The entire upstairs on an old 747-200 was occupied by FT'ers. http://members.aol.com/hawaiipip/express.html http://members.aol.com/hawaiipip/express2.html |
ok, I see a challenge opportunity here? Alliance, Lucky, Pat? We need another and we all can help recruit! How about it?

I can see where this is heading. By the time it's over, someone will have chartered an FT flight that somehow still earns miles.... :)

It has also been talked about on Miles and More forum - Lufthansa private jet earns M&M miles. But capacity is limited (and fares rather high).

But since the plane was a Twin Otter, it only took around 18 - but still very nice to have it to ourselves :) |

If the aircraft has a FC section can you imagine the battle to see who sits up front? :D

I'm not sure what the total numbers were on this one:
Any more FTers for the last scheduled DC10 NW98 07JAN07 HNL/MSP? This one has the potential to be huge: 747 charter for potential NWA DO: please read and respond to survey |
I believe flysurfer's and berlinflyer future trip in LH Y has many followers/believers/masochists on board!!

At (the late) Bernie's first Düsseldorf Doo in 2000 the UA flight that some of us flew over on, saw us invite the UA crew to the Doo party, as they had a day or 2 layover - and nothing better to do. :D
A lot of the folks from the doo flew back with the same crew to ORD. There were quite a few - over a dozen IIRC. Any of them in coach were being regaled all flight with French champagne in real crystal flutes from first, via smiling FA's .... much to the bemusement of the others sitting in coach. ^ ^ ^ |
I remember that flight. The funniest part was auh2o staggering (due to the struggle of handling alt not yet consumed) through the airport in DUS with an entire case of Alt which I swear must have weighed as much as he did. At security he they told us that he could take it through security but that the crew would never let him take it on the plane. Little did they know that the crew were are party buds.
Even funnier was when he got to customs in Chicago and did the math for the customs agents, proving to them that a case of Alt contained the same amount of alcohol as a litre of 100% vodka, or something like that. Anyway he talked the case into the country. :D :D I felt badly that Baze and Scott the Flyer got stuck in coach on that flight as there were empty seats in biz and they forgot to collect our upgrade coupons, but they did seem to be enjoying their first-class champagne. |

Hmmm I guess we could try for the next smallest thing, an E170..would that work? :)
|
There were probably close to 50 FlyerTalkers on NWA LAX-HNL on March 3, 2006 for the NWA $93 r/t including hotel deal

Ah yes, that was way back when Jailer was a FlyerTalk virgin. :D
cesco.g are you the one who corrupted him? |
The flight now has 19 FTers ...
It'll be a bit more fun than normal as there's enough QF WP (/oneworld Emerald) that we'll all have access to the new Sydney Internationa First Class Lounge. Eggs Benedict washed down with Verve anyone? ;) |

cesco.g are you the one who corrupted him? Cousin Craig6z baited the cult hook and opened the Red Carpet Club door, and, I think, cashed in points for the hotel room. PremEx plied me w/ booze at the RCC and an upgrade outbound ("we ain't letting anybody on this flight fly coach") cesco tossed in an upgrade on return, I think, Rudy supplied the Swiss chocolates, and, of course, Randy’s largess was…large (other than Craig, I knew nobody corporally or virtually, so I guess I was bedazzled). |
Oh, Jailer, you were soooooooooo easy. :D
|
Madame Von Schtupp, from Blazing Saddles, might have been talking about flyertalkers when she said "Is it true what they say about the way you people are 'gifted?" Oh it's Twue.... it's twue.... it's twue!"
I'm guessing that she meant gifted in miles/points/generosity. |
