I've called about 30 in the Houston/immediate 'burb area. So far nothing. As soon as I can I'll try outlying 'burbs - have to get to where cell phone will work, won't work in office.....

I hope others are having better luck for you....

Three different pharmacies that I have called have asked me if I was calling for Jan Doe. Evidentally there is a woman here in Seattle who has already gone this route.

This has been enlighting. All the pharmacies that I called here in PHX so far informed me that they took it off their shelves in 2005. Are there no alternative medications that have been develped in the last 3 yrs?

The email never reached me (weird), but I just saw and responded to your PM.

Thanks!

While there are other medications people try, there is nothing like this particular one. The first thing you see when you look at the pharmaceutical literature is that the medication is "structurally unique."

Dan,

I just got off the phone with my 18th pharmacy... no luck whatsover.

Seems like most have not had it for some time... was told that there was a fury of action when it was discountinued.... and they did not have it for awhile.

I am travelling to DC tomorrow... and carrying the info with me.

Will continue from there.

William

Thanks, William.

Just a reminder: One person did have a success yesterday. And today I heard from someone who thinks he has found a bottle; we're trying to work out a difficult time schedule on the other end.

Have you tried to call the manufacturing pharmaceutical company? If it's a multinational company, it is likely that the drug you require is still produced for other (typically more developing) countries. They might be able to help you. I would not be shy about calling an executive and asking for help. I know that, in a very similar case, one large multinational executive went out of his way to secure 3 years worth of a discontinued med that they still sold in Mexico.

If you read the entire thread you would see that he did that along time ago.
