It was good to see some FT "old timers" on TV. I wish the segment was longer. As for the negative remarks on the CBS News website, just ignore them. Life's too short to care about such ignorant rants.

I love the comment on the CBS website:
"This is simply shameful. To have such a vacant life as to waste it sitting on airplanes just to sit on more airplanes, albeit the concept of having a better seat. These people should consider something akin to addiction counseling. Not only are they wasting their own lives, but the time and effort of dozens of people who are processing their tickets and securing airline flights by making the line a few minutes longer. It is inconsiderate of the people who truly have a function and a goal for their travel and need to get somewhere."

EWR-LAX (nonstop): 2454
EWR-IAD-SFO-LAX: 3919
Thats about 40% more miles. I always requal on miles, but I rely heavily on improving my cpm via creative routing. I expect a lot of runners do.
Now as for the guy flying ORD-IND buying a hotel room and flying back in the morning - Unless he is getting really cheap stays in IND that he needs to requalify for his hotel program, I think he needs some sort of intervention.

I thought it was a very nice segment. I think it takes a special person to risk both DEN and ORD on the same MR during the winter.
Bravo to the MR folks!

It doesn't work for me either, all the other ones on the page do.
But I had it on Tivo and just watched it there.
I wonder who is the larger loser, the people who take mileage runs and support the airlines we all love and hate, or the guy who has nothing better to do on a Sunday afternoon then post stupid comments about the stories he sees on a website all day?
He actually sounds like a total loser, several times stressing the fact that he goes out of his way not to interact with anybody.
Too funny.
