6:00pm

FourWheels
mcrt

missydarlin (won't make it)

************************************************** ***********

Anyone up for a Mariners game?

Lunch or dinner?

Hangin' at the library?

Smelling fish at Pike Place?

Riding ferries?

ldsant Jun 1, 2007 2:35 am

Why don't you pick a date, time, and what you would like to do e.g., dinner, drinks, lunch, etc. - that might make things easier for planning ;)

mcrt Jun 1, 2007 7:50 am

I'm certainly up for meeting sometime. As ldsant said suggesting a time or three would probably be a good idea. I'll be out of town from the 4th through the 7th, but other than that I will be in the area.

missydarlin Jun 1, 2007 9:10 am

I'd be available the 12th or 13th for dinner

WBurcham Jun 1, 2007 9:44 am

Boo :td: all of these DO's when I'm gone (though it isn't your fault). I just picked a ...... time of year to be in Seattle (Jan-May).

And you haven't proposed a do while you are here because.......???

the best time of year, imho.

No tourists!

lala

lalala Jun 1, 2007 10:33 am

Sometime other than the 12th and 13th work for me.

FourWheels Jun 1, 2007 12:38 pm

Okay. My calendar's wide open, so I'm up to whatever whenever with whomever. I won't limit myself to a single event/trip over to SEA.

I'm no baseball fan but the highlight of my ATL trip last year was sitting in Turner Field watching the Braves... well, more the fans doing that tomahawk-thing with their arms and the non-PC "Native American" chant-y yodel. Is anyone up for cheap seats at a game? Have a preference of Rangers or Orioles?

Anyone have a casual dining place to recommend?

Everyone opposed to crossing water? :p

FourWheels Jun 1, 2007 1:03 pm

Hey, I have a Hilton free night cert and can make this a 2-day DO. Game one night, dinner the next. Or vice versa. Incorporate the library and whatever else.

FourWheels Jun 5, 2007 10:55 pm

Anyone interested in dinner tomorrow (Wednesday) night?

Edit: How about meeting my friend and I for Happy Hour after the game?

Date: Wednesday, June 6th
Time: 5:30-ish
Place: Ivar's

FourWheels Jun 6, 2007 2:25 pm

In case someone was secretly planning to show up, plans have changed. I won't be in Seattle today. :(

FourWheels Jun 6, 2007 5:51 pm

Okay. This is definite. I'll be staying downtown, Thursday, June 14. Let's do a dinner.

Besides lalala and mcrt, who's available? Sorry it's not the 12th or 13th, missydarlin. How about SEAUAKID?

I'm flexible, but at the moment have a hankering for Indian. YMMV.

FourWheels Jun 6, 2007 7:01 pm

How about Elysian? Looks fun. Interesting menus.

There are 3 Elysians.

Yes, I realize that. Is there one in particular you'd recommend? Or none at all?

missydarlin Jun 8, 2007 2:33 pm

I won't know til probably the night before if i can make it.. but of the 3, I'd say first choice is the 1st Ave location, then Capitol Hill.

missydarlin Jun 8, 2007 2:41 pm

Here are some places with outdoor dining, if they are of interest to you :)

http://www.nwsource.com/restaurants/...ks_072304.html

lalala Jun 8, 2007 5:10 pm

The weather next week borders on sucking, so outdoors will probably not work.

Depending on TH's travel schedule, I will put myself down for a 50% chance of being able to make it.

lala

FourWheels Jun 8, 2007 7:35 pm

Thank you, missy. I'd perused the other sites listed in chexfan's visitor's guide, but missed nwsource.

Hey, lalala, 50% is betta than 0%. If you do make it, bring your camera!

mcrt, are you back in town?

Next time I'm up here, I'll call an Ice Cream Social at Mora's. YUM! Hands down the best ice cream I've ever had.

Yup, I'm back in town. Got in last night. I'm looking forward to dinner on the 14th.

That Mora's place looks pretty good. I'll have to add it to my to do list.

Mora sounds better than the elysian to me.

Ice cream for dinner, lalala?! Well, if anyone wants to cross water between now and Thursday, ice cream's on me. Is Elysian bad?

FourWheels Jun 8, 2007 8:45 pm

Oh, oh, oh. Is anyone interested in SAM and a cup of coffee Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday or Wednesday?

Are you on Bainbridge? Mora's is here and you have to cross the water. If so, I'll be happy to meet you on Thursday.

I could be convinced to do the SAM on Sunday. I am still waiting to confirm if a friend got miniature golf lined up for her fiances birthday. We'll talk tomorrow.

Yeah!!! I hope tomorrow works out... I need a Calgon moment, rain or shine. :(

Are you available before Thursday?

FourWheels Jun 10, 2007 7:17 pm

I'm pooped...

I had a great outing with mcrt today! We went to the Seattle Glassblowing Studio, to SAM and lunched at Taste. (The Spring Pea and Sorrel soup was yummy!)

Thank you, mcrt, for a very welcomed Calgon day, for squeezing me into your busy, busy social calendar. Seriously.

On the way home, after crossing back over, a stop at Mora for Peppermint, Italian Chocolate and Gianduja.

Life is very good. :)

FourWheels Jun 12, 2007 6:09 pm

Anyone else able to RSVP?

missydarlin Jun 13, 2007 1:55 pm

I have a graduation party tonight, but make sure you clairfy if you're going to the one on 1st or 4th so people aren't in different locations.

chexfan, we're meeting tomorrow (Thursday), not tonight. Are you available?

mcrt, what time do you expect to be whizzing northward from the office? Just asking.

Why don't we do the Harborside M & S beside Lake Union. There is easier parking than downtown, plus I'm a fan of being by the water. I can pick up FourWheels around 5:30 and be to M & S Harborside by 6:00. We'll plan on the lower bar.

Unless there are any objections.

Sounds great to me! I updated the info in post #1.

I doubt I'll be 'net connected between now and then, so anyone else available just come on over!
