Unsolicited testimonial
or why my husband no longer complains about my hours of "research" at FT.
Yesterday midday the call came from Mr h's parents. His aunt died suddenly in the Los Angeles area. Funeral is on Monday. We don't want to waste miles. What are the "rules" for bereavement fare? Who qualifies? Which airline is the most compassionate. IJKH is asked these questions. She sits down at her already warm computer. Does a quick search bingo bango bongo the answers are given. The process including how to talk to a real person at UA is given. Wife is given a pretty little :-: by her hubby...and for now is left to roam the pages of FT without the usual  Thank you FT community. You are unique to the web and lets keep it that way. P.s thank you also for tolerating recent rants and stupid newbie question |
Please extend condolences to your husband and his family on his loss.
I'm glad that FT was able to assist you in some way during this time. |
I would also like to extend my condolences.
Can't help but agree that FT is such an awesome place!^ |
I was with you until the talk to a real person at United part ;)
I made a very similar post a couple years ago. There is no better resource then the wonderful people's knowledge in the posts here. |
You may not believe it but...
I spoke with a real live US based UAL kind woman who was swift helpful and no trace of any accent. I should have asked for her name but she was amazing. P.S. I got to her by not saying anything to the autotron voice guy and just waiting until I was offered some service. No I don't really have a rotary dial phone but that sure would be cool.
