"Definite" is always in doubt. I was certain you were a "definite" in ATL but, to my deep regret...

She's busy with a new restaurant she opened... however, having lived in south Florida for 25 years, I can direct you to the appropriate neighborhoods to find your perfect Trailer Trash Girlfriend...

In Palm Beach County, downtown Lake Worth is your bonus spot. Not true trailers, but plenty of houses with sheet curtains, broken doorknobs and other such indications of exciting levels of wealth and sophistication.

Broward County is trickier, as the demographics change quickly, but you can't go wrong in the area south of I-575, west past University Drive. You can see the trailers from the highway - such a beautiful vista!

Miami-Dade County - well, there are just so many possibilities to choose from. The entire city of Hialeah is rife with the economic and class options you seek, though with a definite Spanish or Haitian accent. Going farther west and south to West Miami, and/or Westchester is fully Spanish, and farther south yet - in the Redlands or Florida City - you get back to true redneck glory of a full-on trailer trash area.

Just don't make the mistake of going as far south as Key West, ESPECIALLY that weekend! You might get a BIG surprise

I enjoyed myself last year, but it looks like I have a schedule conflict this year.

Green Dragon, in order not to throw this thread even further off topic, and to save the CommunityBuzz mods from a collective heart attack, I answered your post in Omni.

You can put me down as a possible. I have a Delta voucher and we get our dividend checks around that time so it could definitely be perfect timing !!

Sure, if I come it will be on 18 wheels and I will sleep in my own bed.

I would never put you down! I generally reserve that for Cholula and Canarsie. I did, however, put you on the list.

You're coming in a truck? Well, there goes my chances of scoring with Aucarol.

Put me down as a maybe.

Last year I booked a MR to FLL ... only to find out that the Do was one week later.

Now I have a reservation at the BR ES (AAA rate of $89+) for Fri & Sat nights, but need to wait for a reasonably-priced flight on UA metal. Some $231 RTs on US (UA code share), but I need the UA-metal miles/flights!

Honestly, I think it's the "we" problem that bothers the Dov.

Why? I just looked at the United website and it says, "In addition, miles earned on US Airways flights count toward elite status (Premier®, Premier Executive® and 1K®) in the Mileage Plus program."

Be that as it may, you are now on the "Possible" list, bringing our total to 24 definites, and 13 possibles.

Sign me up...

I am a local resident of the area (Miami to be exact). Is this a one day event?

Yes...and no.

Each event stands by itself -- you are welcome to attend one or more.

The main event (and the one you should definitely not miss) is the dinner on Saturday night.

Friday night drinks are a different story. If you are planning on driving back to Miami afterwards you might not want to join us for that (or if you do, limit yourself to Rum and Cokes without the rum).

Sunday mall hopping is another event you might want to pass up -- seeing as you can get there any day you want.

Based on the the title of your post, I have counted you as a "definite" -- meaning that you will be at the dinner. Is that right?

What the *()*& good is that?

We're staying in the Embassy Suites -- everyone has a spare room w/a spare hideabed. Be sure to get Dov's room # so you know where to crash.
